Abandon All Hope is a zine which describes the structure of Hell in Dante's Inferno through the exploration of creation as meditation. I started with a collection of images - my own charcoal drawings, photographs by photographer CJ Ungaro, and a variety of sourced images - and started building collages based on the different circles of Hell. From here, I was able to explore the idea of iteration by bringing the collages into the digital workspace and further collaging them, building the publication around them. I am passionate about classical literature and the exploration of literature as a means of self-reflection, as Dante's Inferno arguably was. The piece becomes more chaotic the further it descends into Hell.
